Cell Culture Technologies launches SteMaxOne™, a chemically defined, protein- and peptide-free culture medium for the maintenance of human mesenchymal stem cells and stem cell lines
The SteMaxOne™ medium is the starting point of the SteMaxOne™ Program, a set of technology transfer activities dedicated to translational-clinical research centers aiming to the development of low cost basal nutrient mixtures for human stem cell culture.
The experimental results published by Salzig et al. (2016) and Leber et al. (2017) on the use of our chemically defined culture media for human stem cell expansion led to the official launch of SteMaxOne™ (also known as Stem Cell 1), the first chemically defined culture medium totally free of hormones, proteins, peptides, extracts and animal-derived components for stem cell culture (Elseberg et al., 2017).
